You should consider lengthening your episodes by 5 or ten minutes.

No doubt, 24 has a lot of right-wing fantasies in it. I’m liberal and a huge fan of 24, though, and I think the show does a great job of including ethics debates and questioning tactics.

Bottom line, though, is that for the left and the right, the people on 24 represent different things. For the right, a powerful president and Jack Bauer represent the right’s leadership. For the left, a powerful president on 24 is a condemnation by comparison, showing what the right’s leadership lacks. Jack Bauer may justify torture, but only because we, the viewers, trust Jack. I don’t think that message translates to the real world — a world where Jack doesn’t exist.

Calling it a civil war won’t stop it, but 80% of the Iraq’s
want us out. Give the Sunni’s 20% of the oil revenues
and the violence will stop overnight. They have no money
or prospects for an economy without a part of the oil.

all tomfoolery aside…episode 11 was an incredible political conversation, just fascinating. Funny how around 100 years ago, Italians moved to Hazleton and then the Italian culture diffused around the country…from Sinatra to Zappa… The same thing is happening right now in H town but the cultural aspects have hit the main stream a little earlier… its like butter…discuss…MOO
