Regarding the Immigrant Issue in Hazleton
One hundred years ago, when Italian, Irish, Polish, Slovak and Lithuanian immigrants sought employment in the area, a myriad of problems followed, similar to what we are facing today. Sporadic violence, integrating into the educational system and a language barrier. In time the ethnic population became a viable and productive part of the community. Illegal immigration was not an issue at the time. Today, the illegal issue has become the heart of the problem. Should illegals be allowed to or given
a chance to find there way into our society? The problem is serious and at the present time finds itself in a sea of legal challenges throughout the country.
As a simplistic thought, will this problem find its way to a solution with patience and fairness? At this time I cannot find a viable direction to follow, I remain confused.
